How long have you been in business?
UltraMedia opened its doors in February, 2002. The owner has been in the industry since 1994.
What is your primary product or service?
Our clients consider us their home technology concierge. We provide custom design and installation of home technology: theaters, multi-room entertainment systems, lighting control, automation, consulting, and more.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The owner has always had a passion for great audio and video, beginning with a bachelor's degree in technology. While a pilot for American Eagle, he apprenticed with a high-end AV business in Raleigh, NC. Not long after, he decided to go into business for himself in Dallas in 1995.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We pride ourselves on our customer service. It's unbeatable. We operate much like an architectural firm. Everything we do is customized for each individual client. We don't sell cookie-cutter solutions. We're a referral-based business, and know that we must work diligently to please all of our clients. We have an office/warehouse, while many of our competitors work out of their home and the back of their truck. We have many of our products on display in our conference room and offices, and invite all of our potential customers to meet our staff and see our operation before doing business with us.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location at this time; however, we would be open to franchise. Likewise, we are scalable, and are poised to expand when the climate suggests it.
